All About Me

Short Answer

Hi, I’m Mary. I was born on the last day of 1977, married my husband Matt when I was 20, and we’re still going strong. We have three amazing children who keep me both stressed and proud, and one beautiful daughter in heaven. I’m a testimony to healing, as I beat cancer and sent it back to where it came from!

Longer Answer

One thing about me is that I truly love life. I’ve been through my share of difficult times, and those challenges have taught me to appreciate every breath as something precious and God-given.

I’ve spent much of my life navigating my Christian faith—sometimes running toward God, and other times unsure of His presence. But through it all, faith has kept me grounded. After years of living in the shadows and not fully understanding who I was, I’ve fallen deeper in love with Jesus. Now, I know I’m loved, accepted, and have a purpose.

Life has taught me to keep moving forward and to love what's around me. The local church has been a huge blessing in my life, having been part of one for 46 years. Worship and creativity are my passions. I’ve served in a worship team for over 35 years, and I find so much joy in bringing my creative ideas to life.

I’m also organized, great at planning, and thrive under pressure, which is why my job as an administrator suits me so well.

I believe that people should be able to see Jesus in someone before they even say they’re a Christian.

Right now, I’m focused on living out Jesus’ words to “go into the world and preach the Gospel” in my own quirky way—through loving others, encouraging them, and serving.

I pray that God continues to build and develop the gifts inside of me, and that He will do the same for you as you keep moving forward in life.
